Meet the team behind Monumental Tattoo Academy
Aaron Clarke
Aaron founded the Monumental Ink in 2012, he specalises in black and grey realism but very capable in all styles of tattooing.
He has a particular eye for creating a seamless flow with sleeves and big pieces and believes in working with the natural curves and shape of the body.
He is a perfectionist with great passion for art, always looking to be ahead of the game and constantly self developing his skills.
Aaron has a mission to create a great brand, a studio like no other with a service second to none.
Shell Moreno
Shell Moreno is a resident artist at our Colchester studio!
Shell specialises in colour realism, black and grey realism, anime and comics.
He uses colour in a beautiful way creating solid and vibrant pieces.
Jonathon Swift
Jonathan specialises in full colour and black and grey traditional style tattooing.
When Jonathan isn’t tattooing he is hand painting traditional flash and has hundreds of pre-made designs ready to be tattooed!
He also likes the challenge of collaborating with his clients to come up with custom bespoke designs.
Jonathan is based at our Colchester Studio full time.
Mia Layzell
You may recognise Mia from reception at our Colchester studio!
Mia is a junior artist at our Colchester studio & is open to all styles of tattoo as she builds her portfolio, but especially loves line work, dotwork and microrealism.
Steve McGeary
Steve is an apprentice at our Colchester studio!
Steve is open to all styles of tattoo as he builds his portfolio, but especially loves lettering and script.
Beth Hogg
Beth is a junior artist full time at our Colchester studio.
